Sustainability Statement

As a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council, Grandview Klein Diamonds is committed to implementing the Code of Practices standard as it applies to our certification scope as a diamond trader, cutter and polisher. We maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls to support ongoing compliance.

We are committed to building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and other business partners in order to promote responsible business practices throughout our diamond supply chain. This includes identifying and, where appropriate, mitigating negative social impacts, with particular focus on human rights, child labor, forced labor, and sourcing risks associated with Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas (CAHRA).

To support this work, we conduct supply chain due diligence aligned with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas. Our due diligence framework includes the following elements:

  • We have adopted a human rights policy and a supply chain policy. Both policy statements are included in our Responsible Business Practices Policy, which is publicly available on our website.
  • We maintain internal systems and processes for collecting and recording relevant information regarding our diamond suppliers’ labor practices and sourcing activities.
  • We assess supply chain risks, including human rights risks and OECD Due Diligence red flags, within our upstream diamond supply chain.
  • We maintain a documented approach to responding to identified risks, including steps to mitigate risks and, where necessary, suspend or end relationships where risks cannot be appropriately managed.

To better understand potential and actual risks in our upstream diamond supply chain, we request that suppliers complete a due diligence questionnaire. This questionnaire covers legal compliance, labor practices, controls related to child and forced labor, and processes for identifying and addressing risks associated with sourcing from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas.

Our supply chain due diligence activities are ongoing. While we continue to gather and assess information from certain suppliers, we have not to date identified any confirmed adverse impacts associated with our sourcing practices that require disengagement. Where questions arise, we engage with suppliers to clarify information, strengthen controls, and address potential risks in alignment with our policies.

We maintain controls to support responsible diamond trade requirements, including alignment with the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme and the World Diamond Council System of Warranties, as applicable to our business activities.

We also maintain accessible reporting and grievance mechanisms that enable employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders to raise concerns, including those related to human rights and responsible sourcing. Reports may be made without fear of retaliation and are reviewed and addressed in line with our internal policies and procedures.

We will continue to work with our supply chain partners throughout 2026 and beyond to strengthen these efforts and to appropriately manage identified risks in alignment with our policies and the Responsible Jewellery Council Code of Practices.
